Tentsile Safari Stingray wooden tent

The Safari Stingray is designed for those who want the strongest and most durable wooden tent for heavy use. Made from the highest quality UV protected materials, which allows Safari shelters to be left in the tree for months at a time and, when maintained, will last for years in the harshest conditions. The shelter comes with a covering rain cover, which when opened allows you to enjoy the starry sky under the insect net.

The Stingray's spacious interior consists of three separate sleeping areas and a mesh-covered access opening in the middle. It also serves as an entrance, like the zippered doors that open in three different directions.

The EcoCamp is located on the Kuninkaansaari side, exact location information will be given upon registration at the Vallisaari Harbour Café, Torpedo Bay.

Guidelines, rules and restrictions

The islands are explored along marked routes: the Alexander's Tour (3 km) and the King's Island Tour (2,5 km). Stay on the routes, as there are dangerous structures, cliffs and places that threaten to collapse! Please take special care of children.

Camping, campfires and digging in the ground are prohibited for safety reasons. Explosives may still be present in the soil after the explosion on Vallisaari Island in 1937. However, according to the Defence Forces' investigations, the islands are safe to move around on foot and with machinery.

However, overnight stays are allowed in TreeTents on King Island and in your own boat at the picnic harbour in Torpedo Bay.

The southern part of Vallisaari is closed (a restricted area for movement and stay in accordance with Decree 1104/2013 under Section 52 of the Police Act) due to the presence of dangerous structures. In the southern part, it is forbidden to move around and go ashore without Metsähallitus' permission, under penalty of a fine.

The Vallisaari harbour is recommended for landing, and for paddlers the Torpedo Bay harbour, the main pier of Vallisaari and the sandbanks next to the Luotsitalo. In the restricted area in the southern part of Vallisaari it is forbidden to move around or go ashore, under penalty of a fine.

Swimming in the Vallisaari pond is prohibited because the bottom of the pond is full of debris. Swimmers can become dangerously entangled in it. Swimming is also prohibited from the cliffs of the Tentsile area because of the traffic in the guest harbour and on the cliffs of the Kustaanmieka Strait because of the "little tsunami" caused by ships. The waves have a very strong suction. It easily pulls the swimmer far out to sea. You can swim in the sandy coves of Kuninkaansaari. This is not an official bathing beach.
